As a family law attorney, partner Nancy Dameron-Frazier believes in putting her clients at ease during difficult – and often life-altering – situations they may be facing.

“I enjoy helping individuals who are often in stressful family situations,” she says. “It is rewarding to help them find their way to a better place in life.”

Ms Dameron-Frazier practices at Drew & Ward in all aspects of family law including divorce, dissolution, property divisions, support and custody matters. She also is very involved in adoptions, locally, nationally and internationally.

In her 13 years of legal practice, she has had experience in real estate, landlord/ tenant matters, criminal defense, adoptions, divorce /dissolution, custody, child support, fathers’ rights, grandparents’ rights, and accident and injury cases.

“Many times in divorce situations or cases that involve children or sensitive issues, an attorney may well do more than just go to court,” she explains. “My role is to find reasonable, practical solutions to the problems my clients face as they transition through life altering change. My role is to advocate for my client when necessary, which means, if the matter cannot be resolved amicably, to fight for my client’s rights.

A Greendale, Indiana native, Ms Dameron-Frazier moved to Cincinnati in 1998. She graduated from Miami University (B.A., 1989) and Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis (J.D., 1992).

Ms Dameron-Frazier was admitted to the bar in Ohio in 1993 and U.S. District Court Southern District of Ohio in 1995. She is a member of the Cincinnati and Ohio State Bar Associations.

Her interactions with clients are based on sensitivity and honesty.

“I strive to give my clients a sense of comfort as they tell me their concerns. Often the subjects we discuss can be sensitive, or even embarrassing, and I believe my clients feel at ease discussing anything with me, which is crucial for me to be able to provide them with thorough representation,” she says. “I am approachable and personable. However, I am also direct and honest. I do not want my client to develop unrealistic expectations about the outcome of a case.”

Ms Dameron-Frazier has participated in the acclaimed Cincinnati Academy of Leadership for Lawyers geared toward promoting civility among lawyers in the legal profession. She also has served as a mentor to elementary and high school students in the community and was recognized as a “hometown hero” for her role in the lives of the children she mentored. Ms. Dameron-Frazier serves Hamilton, Butler, Clermont, and Warren County.
