DREW & WARD ATTORNEY AGAIN NAMED AMONG "RISING STARS - SUPER LAWYERS" OF OHIO

For a third consecutive year, Drew & Ward partner Bob Smyth has been named to a unique list of "Rising Stars," featuring only the top 2.5 percent of young lawyers in Ohio.

Mr. Smyth is designated among the "2007 Super Lawyers - Rising Stars" published in mid-June by Cincinnati Magazine, Northern Ohio Live and Ohio Super Lawyers magazines, honoring attorneys who have been practicing for less than 10 years or who are 40 years of age or younger.

The "Rising Stars" list is a recent distinction developed to recognize younger lawyers who may not be as well known in the state. Fellow attorneys were asked to nominate candidates for the list. The rigorous selection process then evaluated candidates on factors such as experience, honors and awards, special licenses and certifications, bar and other professional activities, pro bono and community service, education and employment background.

"We are excited to see this continued recognition for Mr. Smyth as an up-and-coming attorney, and we concur in this fine assessment of his professional achievements," managing partner Mark Jordan said.

Mr. Smyth practices in employment law, probate and estate planning and civil and commercial litigation at Drew & Ward. He graduated from Miami University (B.A., 1991) and the University of Cincinnati (J.D., 1994). He also is a graduate of the Cincinnati Academy of Leadership for Lawyers. He was admitted to the bar in Ohio in 1994 and the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Ohio in 1995.

The three magazines also publish an annual list of "Super Lawyers," or top lawyers recognized by their peers for their exemplary work in the legal field. Two Drew & Ward partners this year were named to that list. Both lists can be viewed on-line at www.SuperLawyers.com. No other legal publisher identifies qualified candidates with a multi-step process incorporating peer recognition and professional achievement.

Drew & Ward Co., LPA celebrates its 49th anniversary this year, enjoying a history of nearly five decades of service: service to clients, service to the law, and service to the community. Ray Drew and Dick Ward opened their office in the Central Trust Tower (now the Fourth & Vine Tower) in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1958. Both were pilots during World War II and returned to pursue legal careers after admiring attorneys in their own families. The two founded the firm based on the ideals of serving clients with good counsel, cost effective solutions and hard work
