TWO DREW & WARD PARTNERS AGAIN NAMED AS ‘SUPER LAWYERS’ IN OHIO

Email - Mr. Covatta

Two partners with the Drew & Ward law firm have again been honored for their fine legal work by their fellow attorneys in Ohio and are named on the annual list of the top lawyers in the state.

Anthony Covatta Jr. and Frederic Goeddel are listed among the “2007 Super Lawyers” published by Cincinnati Magazine, Ohio Super Lawyers and Northern Ohio Live magazine.

The rankings will be printed in the January 2007 issues of the three magazines. The “Super Lawyers” were selected following a survey of more than 28,700 Ohio attorneys asked to vote for the best lawyers they have observed in action – and not by reputation alone. Only five percent of the lawyers in Ohio are named Super Lawyers. The entire list can be viewed on-line at www.SuperLawyers.com.

“To receive this honor again is a distinction we value as it comes from those outside the firm who recognize our dedication to the legal community,” said Mr. Goeddel. His particular area of concentration is family law, including divorces, dissolutions, property division, support and alimony issues, custody and visitation matters. He is a trained Collaborative Lawyer. He also practices in other forms of civil litigation, estate planning and probate. This is the fourth year Mr. Goeddel has been named to the “Super Lawyers” list.

“We appreciate the compliment that this honor bestows, and we plan to continue our efforts to provide the best in legal representation for our clients,” said Mr. Covatta, who practices at Drew & Ward in the areas of corporate law, labor and employment law, general litigation, franchising and real estate law.

Mr. Covatta represents several large medical groups in the area and closely-held businesses. He also serves as local counsel for a number of national and multi-national companies. This is the third year Mr. Covatta has been named to the prestigious list.

Drew & Ward Co., LPA this year celebrates its 49th anniversary, enjoying a history of nearly five decades of service: service to clients, service to the law, and service to the community. Ray Drew and Dick Ward opened their office in the Central Trust Tower (now the Fourth & Vine Tower) in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1958. Both were pilots during World War II and returned to pursue legal careers after admiring attorneys in their own families. The two founded the firm based on the ideals of serving clients with good counsel, cost effective solutions and hard work.
