The Drew & Ward law firm is proud to welcome new partner Eric Holzapfel, who brings a legal background that will enhance the firm’s service to area business and industry.

Mr. Holzapfel practices at in the areas of business litigation, employment law, contracts and construction law.

“Eric’s valuable knowledge complements the firm’s concentration in serving a variety of clients, ranging from small to large businesses, and individual employees to corporations,” managing partner Mark Jordan said. “He brings courtroom experience from several levels that will be an asset to our clients.”

A Sandusky, Ohio native, Mr. Holzapfel moved to Cincinnati in 1971. He graduated from Denison University (B.A., 1968) and Emory University Law School (J.D., 1971).

Mr. Holzapfel was admitted to the bar in Ohio and U.S. District Court Southern District of Ohio in 1972; U.S. Court of Appeals Sixth Circuit and U.S. District Court Eastern District of Kentucky in 1975; and the Ohio Supreme Court in 1972. He is a member of the Cincinnati, Ohio State and American Bar Associations. Mr. Holzapfel is also an active member of the Construction Law, Common Pleas, and Joint Cincinnati Bar and Board of Realtors committees of the Cincinnati Bar Association. Mr. Holzapfel has lectured before the Ohio State Bar Association on the topic of fraud in the sale of real estate and has spoken at construction law seminars on the topics of Eichley damage, water intrusion issues, insurance coverage for defective construction, and the relative merits of various alternative dispute resolutions.

Drew & Ward Co., LPA celebrates its 49th anniversary this year, enjoying a history of nearly five decades of service: service to clients, service to the law, and service to the community. Ray Drew and Dick Ward opened their office in the Central Trust Tower (now the Fourth & Vine Tower) in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1958. Both were pilots during World War II and returned to pursue legal careers after admiring attorneys in their own families. The two founded the firm based on the ideals of serving clients with good counsel, cost effective solutions and hard work.
