Zamary Cincinnati, Ohio Partner phone: 513.621.8210 fax: 513.619.1668 Since childhood, George Zamary has known that the law was the place for him to build a career helping others.
"Ever since I was young, I always figured I would become an attorney," he recalls. "I always thought the art of argument and logic were essential elements in demonstrating one's point and accomplishing one's goal."
Mr. Zamary practices at The Drew Law Firm in the areas of civil and business litigation, corporate, estate planning, construction and election law. He is a member of the Cincinnati, Ohio, Kentucky and American Bar Associations.
Describing his work habits as "dedicated, passionate and practical," he explains that his role is to act as a counselor and advisor on matters impacting the lives of clients.
"The Drew Law Firm has always maintained a professional family orientation," he says. "I believe that is a reflection of the work we enjoy doing. I like people and I like helping them."
"It is crucial that I have an open dialogue with my clients and have a clear understanding of their goals and objectives," he says. "I am then better able to assess the nature of the situation and what the client wants, whether it is in estate planning or in hotly contested commercial litigation. Only through clear communications am I able to provide the client the best service possible in a costly matter."
A native of the Youngstown, Ohio area, Mr. Zamary is a graduate of Ohio University (B.S., summa cum laude, 1995) and Capital University Law School in Columbus (J.D., 1998). He was admitted to the bar in Ohio in 1999, in Kentucky in 2007 and U.S. District Court Southern District of Ohio in 2000, and U.S. District Court Eastern District of Kentucky in 2009.
"Whether one is involved in litigation or needs personal legal work performed (wills, trusts, forming a business), I work to remove uncertainty in the client's life," Mr. Zamary explains. "I believe there are answers to the multitude of legal issues that present themselves to my clients. To this end, I work until I realize these answers and advise my clients on the options they have open to them."
His legal experience has included serving as lead trial counsel in civil litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants, in matters involving auto accidents, premises liability, commercial disputes, environmental issues and toxic torts. He also has represented local and national companies in contract negotiations. In addition, Mr. Zamary was a member of the litigation team representing a local builder in a class action lawsuit involving 200 homes in Greater Cincinnati concerning allegations of construction defects.
He has been recognized for his work in the legal profession with two honors: as a Super Lawyers "Rising Star" in 2005 and 2010, which honors the top 2.5 percent of lawyers under the age of 40; and as a member of the 2007 Cincinnati Academy of Leadership for Lawyers (CALL Class XI).
