George R. Drew
Whether he is providing legal service or assisting the administration of hospitals and health care organizations, founding partner Raymond Drew consistently has focused his efforts on helping others.
I have always been more interested in the well-being of the client than serving myself, Mr. Drew explains.
Born and raised in Boston, he practiced law there for 10 years. After serving as a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force from 1941 to 1945, he moved to Cincinnati and started the firm with Richard Ward in 1958.
Mr. Drew was admitted to the bar in Massachusetts in 1940 and in Ohio in 1950. He attended from Columbia University and Suffolk University (LL.B., with honors, 1939). He has served as Chairman the Hamilton County Hospital Commission and Chairman of the Deaconess Hospital. He is a member of the Cincinnati, Ohio State and American Bar Associations. Mr. Drew was named in 2004-2006 to the "Super Lawyers" list published by Cincinnati Magazine, based on a survey of more than 33,000 Ohio lawyers who voted for the best of the profession they had observed in action.
Now that he is semi-retired, Mr. Drew practices primarily in estate planning and probate.
The Drew Law Firm has always maintained a professional family orientation, he says. I believe that is a reflection of the work we enjoy doing. I like people and I like helping them.
